Hello,

I can only provide the programmed processors and the virgin printed circuit boards for CATrain modules. The circuit boards are dual side with plated holes. The component placing is indicated on the component side. They are easy to assemble. Other components are standard, easy to find in shops or on the web.
If you prefer pre-built modules, I know that Fran?ois Gilquin (catrain_fgn@hotmail.fr) has already built modules for some users. He works extremely well, but I do not know if he has enough time now for still assembling modules?
Printed circuits and processors are available for the 4 modules:
- PWM modules
- Device controllers
- Train Detectors (optional)
- The new USB interface for CATrain 2.0 on Windows XP.
CATrain 2.0 and its USB interface are still in beta test by several users.
It will be announced officially before the end of the month.
Several people use CATrain with "N" scale. This works well. The tuning for adjusting the loco "speed curve" is a little more difficult than with HO scale because the little motors are less "constant", especially when they are cold, but this is not a problem, since CATrain controls all the signals (and the switches) and detects the presence of the trains on each block by their power consumption.
You can control each train from the PC transparently, since CATrain "knows on which electrical block(s) the train is located.
The sound is not yet available, but we intend to implement it in a near future.

Kind regards,

Jo
